With autumn passing quickly and winter fast on its heels, I felt it was time to remind us of lazy, warm summer days.  Here are some photographs of wildflowers I have taken over the past few years.  I will try to include some info and the circumstances surrounding the photographs.

Here is Alfalfa; Medicago sativa.  Alfalfa is an herb. People use the leaves, sprouts, and seeds to make medicine.

I wasn't aware that Alfalfa grew in multiple colours.  Now I grow it in my naturalized backyard because it is so pretty.

Introduction

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog.  It is mainly an art blog so I will be adding pictures of various art forms as well as photographs of nature, wildflowers and wildlife.

The camera I use is a FinePix S700 digital camera and many of the pictures were shot at a macro setting.  I have used other cameras but the FinePix is my favourite.

I will include pictures of my artwork; watercolours, pen and ink as well as acrylic painting.

I also have a love for herbs and their many applications in teas, tisanes, aromatherapy and medicines.

I add the caution that no herb should be used without a doctors' prior consent.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your visit.
